Scoring: XIMP

(1)   -  X  - (1NT) - Pass
(Pass) - X - (Pass) - 2
(Pass) - ?

Agree so far?

What now?

I might have bid 2 on the second round, to avoid this problem. Showing a strong one-suiter is probably less of a distortion than showing a strong takeout double of spades.

From where we are now, pass seems the only possible action.

Partner would have passed the double with anything more than 4 points, so you're not missing a game. Partner is possibly going to be playing a 4-2 fit, but bidding 3 now will be overstating your hand. I'd pass first and pull to 3 if doubled.

I wish I was playing with the partner that I played a 15-20 1N overcall with, but realistically you have to double first time. I think I'd bid 2 second time, but if I doubled, I must pass 2 here, I've shown a big hand and partner hasn't bid more than 2.

Bidding looks fine. Does partner know he could pass the second X? If so then I have to consider the possibility of a psyche but in all likelyhood I will just pass.

Easiest pass ever. Would have bid 2D last time.

Yes 2 last time, in fact I prefer pass to another double.
Please let me know about any questions or interest or bug reports about GIB.
