On the one hand we have someone suggesting we want greater participation in forums from our BBO users.

On the other, some of our posts would offend the most thick-skinned person I know.


What's a moderator to do?


1. We've been infected with a wave of craziness spawned by the incident in Shanghai.

2. Some of the posts have been offensive even for the relaxed environment of the Watercooler.

3. I can and will help people who can't help themselves. If the Watercooler is too tempting a target, I can and will take it down. I can and will discard posts that i deem obnoxious.



What's a poster to do?

Read your posts before clicking the SUBMIT button. For a short period of time, try to go out of your way to be polite.

I will casually toss out stuff that I think is detrimental to the larger purpose of the discussion groups. Flames. Noise. Attacks. Thread hijacking. Whatever.
