This came from a challenge a star IMPs match



If you were going to go for the heart finesse for the overtrick, surely they should cash spades first throwing the clubs before committing to it.

edit: I suppose the bidding limited me to 11 total points (I know they're in a 2/1 auction, but why...) but the actual line taken still seems mad to me.

I've given up on saying it must have been due to weird simulations. I don't think that argument holds water anymore :(
