It would be better to include a hand diagram.
Are we talking about this auction?
Maybe you could copy and paste the diagram and correct the hands (plus the auction if wrong).

Thanks for the link (but beware that the forum is sensitive about showing nicknames in these cases).
It seems odd that the Director did not investigate the agreement between E and W before making any decision. If they have an agreement that 3♣ shows anything other than clubs (from East's bid it would appear that they did not) then you were certainly due an alert. If West psyched (which seems equally unlikely in this case) then that is legal under the Laws of bridge, but again the Director has to satisfy himself it was a psyche.
But you and your companion could and should have asked about 3♣ and 5♦, once the latter emerged. This costs nothing when playing on BBO with self-alerts and helps avoid situations like this.

It might not have been. It might have been a misclicked 3♦. The director has to investigate. However:
Also note that 3♠, your likely contract, goes down on the right defence; assuming your partner led a major, +100 shouldn't be a bad score. -550 I agree is bad.
- if it was a psychic, they're legal.
- if it was a misbid, he doesn't have to tell you (but he has to be careful not to give it away to partner in ways other than future bidding and play).
- if it was their agreement, which I doubt (what is the agreement that matches this hand?), then you were damaged if they didn't tell you about it at the time.
