Robot bridge is fun, I have already commented on that.
However, playing "best hand" is not really bridge, but novelty bridge. It gives one unauthorized information about the hidden cards, that should not exist at the bridge table. It effects the bidding and defense.
But wait a minute, they giving away ACBL masterpoints here.
Surely we should differentiate what is Contract bridge and what is Novelty bridge.

Robot bridge is already differentiated from face to face bridge. Points won in robot tournaments (except for the recent NABC tournament) are classified as unpigmented points, and do not count in the pigmented ACBL masterpoint races.

There are any number of differences between robot bridge and F2F bridge.
Fixating on one minor point like "Best Hand" seems kinda silly.
You might want to take a look at a thread over on BridgeWinners regarding the Robot Individual held during the last ACBL nationals.
