Is Richard Plackett the SB? I would assume not! Congrats to Paul. When did he switch over to playing for Wales though? I know he is Welsh (and played for them in chess) but always thought he came under the EBU for bridge.

The eligibility rules for the Camrose are less restrictive than for EBL/WBF events and, if you have not played for a country in the last couple of years, very easy to swap between them if you are eligible for more than one country.
For example, one difference is that you can qualify for a country if you have a natural parent who was born in that country. However, although this is sufficient to meet the Camrose regulations, it is not sufficient to meet the eligibility criteria to play in the English or Scottish Camrose trials, since these countries place additional constraints (namely being eligible for EBL and WBF).
So it can be confusing.
