Suppose you play void splinters, or have some other way to communicate a void specifically:

a) What would be the normal meaning of a cue of P's void?
ai) What would be the normal meaning of bypassing a cue of P's void then subsequently bidding it at a higher level?
b) What would be the normal meaning of a cue of your own void?
bi) What would be the normal meaning of bypassing a cue of your own void then subsequently bidding it at a higher level?

Cuebidding a void creates light, and it is good.
"Gibberish in, gibberish out. A trial judge, three sets of lawyers, and now three appellate judges cannot agree on what this law means. And we ask police officers, prosecutors, defense lawyers, and citizens to enforce or abide by it? The legislature continues to write unreadable statutes. Gibberish should not be enforced as law."

For me, "cue-bidding" your own void is exclusion RKCB.

a) Usually restricted only to the ace of that suit.
a1) Can either be used as a general grand try/ask or you use it as the most expensive of the remaining suits to save space.
b) You typically switch this to the cue of the most expensive of the remaining suits.
b1) The same as doing so in any other auction assuming that the meaning has been switched to a non-void suit.

ws) showing a void followed by normal RKCB/Kickback is typically already XRKCB so the "cue" is not needed for this purpose.

anti-cuebid. shows a lack of wastage. no soft crap. the less points in the suit the better, and that includes the ace - the ace is typically useless - it's only really a good card when the other hand has a 3 card suit with a slow loser in addition to the void.

it allows you to show soft (and valuable) cards outside by proxy.

We certainly play it as ace by partner of void holder and a repeat would show AK.

Repeat of your own void can be various things, if you don't play the void showing bid itself as exclusion, then that's what the repeat often is.

Otherwise by both sides we normally play it as ambition of grand but need to know more, particularly if it's after bypassing the cue initially by the partner of the void holder. Essentially it's used like a rolling NT bid in a cue bidding auction where it's cheaper than the next level of NT.

We actually play optional exclusion void splinters, so 1-3 asks for exclusion responses unless your hand is no longer an opening bid in the light of the heart void opposite, so some of our reqs are different to most peoples', and we often have much more space to carry on cueing the void suit, we have been able to show AKQ by the 5 level before which was crucial knowledge for partner's Axxx.
