Would have bid 4 instead of X.

Maybe 4C should be a cuebid but I don't want to risk some accident. I'll just bid 4D and then 5C, that should get the message across.

4c

has to be a cue bid searching for dia slam--i showed my suit surely i do not
wish to play in a suit where one of the opps has 5 of them--take advantage
of the space the opps give you.

I would bid 5 as void showing splinter, but I supose you play exclusion so it is not avaible.

So 4 by now, maybe a 5 rebid is taken as void, maybe it is taken as natural, with all those kibitzers I don't know if I would bid it ever.

Why would you show a 65 hand when you have a 74 hand?

I am not quite convinced that it shows 65; in any case I would be worried that partner might pass my double, though perhaps that is irrational.

I play it your way. I think Five Clubs is too valuable as a slam try (ie this hand) to reserve for Exclusion, which I only play with majors agreed.

MickyB's nice hand

IMO Pass = 10, 4 = 9, 5 (whatever it means) = 8.
