Request for Links to Recent Vugraph Results

Please add a feature that contains links to the results of recent Vugraph tourneys.

While the tourney is in progress, we can use the link provided in the Vugraph Schedule (when there is a link). But after the tourney is complete, there is no way to see the final results, unless one has bookmarked the site. That's a pain, and leads to cluttered bookmark lists. Plus sometimes I may not have seen any of the sessions for a tourney, but I am still interested in the results, especially the major tourneys I was unable to watch real time.

Thanks.

Can't you use the Vugraph Archive?

It looks like Vugraph Archive provides links to specific matches, but not to the organizer's web page with overall results. But I was not able to figure out how to download a file since I have no idea what a .lin file is, and my Mac doesn't know what to do with it.

My original post should be clarified to say that I'm not looking for the result of a specific match, but the final results of the overall tourney.

Could the Vugraph Archive list be modified to include the link to the organizer's website (when available)? That would be dandy.

The next time I'm working on the Vugraph schedule page, I'll add an option to display recent tourneys, not just those in the future. No idea when that't likely to be, though.

Until then, that's what Google is for.

Thanks for your help.

Can you edit the topic title since it's not clear about what my request is for? Sorry to have caused confusion.

Just to say that I have also found this frustrating in the past. And google is not such a great option when the tournament is in a foreign language and the tournament/results link is buried in the depths of the site.

Keeping track of events that were played in the previous week would comfortably be sufficient for me and, of course, you only need to keep one entry per tournament if that were easier.

I don't work for BBO and any advice is based on my BBO experience over the decades

An alternative would be another page that just shows past tournaments. It doesn't need as many details as the regular schedule page (no commentator lists, no ability for organizers to edit, no round times), so it can be much simpler. We can put a link to this page on the schedule page and also the archive page.

I would like it to go back at least 6 months, if that's doable.

When we implemented vugraph automation, we revised the database structure. I only transferred the events that were in the future at that time, because I had to do a number of manual adjustments to deal with some of the changes. So there's nothing in the current database earlier than July 31.

But maybe by the time I get around to doing this, that will be 6 months back.

And other than this one-time transfer of the database, we normally never delete vugraph data.

Any update on when you will be adding this feature to Vugraph?

Sorry, no immediate plans to work on Vugraph.
