If partner is crazy they have 7 hearts for their weak 2 and are doing something crazy.

If partner is normal 20-21 balanced w/ 5-6 hearts.
I once yelled at my partner for discarding the 'wrong' card when he was subjected to a squeeze that I allowed by giving the wrong count with too high a card. Now he's allowed to pitch aces when the opponents have the king in the dummy. At trick 2. When he could have followed suit. And blame me.

Wouldn't call partner with 5-6 hearts normal, with six he should have either opened 1 or 2 and rebid hearts. With five hearts he should bid 2NT and await puppet/muppet stayman.

Could be he forgot how to play multis, the people at my club playing multis don;t actually know how to play them, they bid 2 in response to 2 when they have five or more spades. Maybe this person was making even bigger mistakes than this, and thought 2 showed hearts, and he had a six card spade suit and three hearts?

This auction does not exist, even playing a strong inclusion in your Multi. This is not a person with whom I want to play. I would bid 7H and then find a new partner.

Nystrom and Upmark bid 2 pass 2 pass 3 to show a strong hand with diamonds plus spades, KQJx AK AKQJxx x (page 7). So I would say this bid probably exists as well, and for people with whom I would want to play.

If they're bad, probably they have a weak two and just don't understand how to bid after a nulti. If they're not bad, I would assume they initially missorted their hand and probably found an extra small heart. They should not do this with 20-21 and expect me to figure that out.

Or, maybe the are playing Nolte, which is entirely consistent.

No. Have you read the op. This strong option is NOT part of their system, as the only strong option they play is a strong balanced hand. In that system the bid does not exist and the player is either operating or has forgotten the system or is a fool. In all three cases I would not want that person as my partner. If I were playing the Nystrom Upmark version, then my bid WOULD have some meaning, wouldn't it? However according to the poster I am NOT playing that version.

I promise he doesn't have 20-21 bal or 22+ with hearts. I would never bid like this but, well, my partner did, would you pass or bid 4H (or something else)?

If I had to guess, it would be that he forgot he was playing a multi and is now being ethical presuming you bid 2 in response to what he actually meant by 2.

This however shouldn't influence your decision, and I think you can do what you like as this bid doesn't exist in your multi unless you've specifically agreed something for it.

I raised to 4 and took 10 tricks on a spade lead (diamond discard, club to queen, lose two hearts while keeping control and being glad that clubs were 2-2). My RHO now knows that it's a good idea to show his 6-card solid minor. I promise my 2 was completely in tempo, but anyway if we wanted to cheat we would find better contracts than this.

With all the intermediates in the long suits, I'd probably treat this as a 9 or 10 count and open 1.

I'd consider 3 even at equal, but would surely pass 2 if I had opened a multi. Preempt as high as you dare, then shut up. The perpetrator really needs to learn paradox bids (Chris Ryall's webite is a good source.)
