So, I just had to cancel this week's JEC match because noone wanted to play. It would be quite embarrassing if that happened twice in a row, so - come on, people!

saturday is lousy, I typically have work. Should there be a match on June 23rd, I'd be around to play (day off), and could play with phil's partner markleon, as he and I play fairly regularly as well.

I work during the week.
That means that weekends have to cover
- my social/family life (what there is of it)
- holidays
- bridge events

A free saturday (or sunday) evening when I am actually at home and wanting to play bridge on BBO is a very rare event
I think the same is true of many other people with office jobs

Time is horrible for Australia, and I am bad*

*Note: I know Mgoetze is joking with the play bridge comment.

I am afraid you won't find anyone German to play at that time. And if anyone does, he will risk losing his passport...

It's a bad time for west coast USA also. I would love the time if I were still east coast.

My passport will be forfeited anyway as soon as they figure out that I don't drink beer, so the not watching football bit won't change matters much. :P

Justin, we could split and play one pair for the first 14 boards and another for the second 14 boards, so you could start about an hour later. Would you be up for that sometime?

Ok, I will let my partner know the time and make sure all is good. Just to make sure...It will be 1400 EDT, or 2000 for Sweden? GMT+1?

Edit: sorry could not reply...was kibbing match :)

If Sweden is indeed on GMT+1, it would be 19:00. If you have Daylight Savings Time like the rest of Europe, it's 20:00 (CEST).

Thanks for the match. We did not manage to keep it to 2 IMPs a board as you hoped, but I enjoyed playing a lot. Much appreciated! :)
