Gnasher, would you have bid 5C if N hadn't doubled?

To bid 3Nt you need at least half a stopper here.

Most common standard "half a stoppers" are;
stiff K,Q
Qx
Jxx
Txxx

if you think partner got some length in the worried suit you can streched with Jx.
From Psych "I mean, Gus and I never see eye-to-eye on work stuff.
For instance, he doesn't like being used as a human shield when we're being shot at.
I happen to think it's a very noble way to meet one's maker, especially for a guy like him.
Bottom line is we never let that difference of opinion interfere with anything."

Yes, I was going to bid 5 unless partner bid 3NT over my 3. I thought it was a bit doubtful even to look for 3NT with this hand, given that I couldn't bid a forcing 3. I might just have bid 5 over 2.
... that would still not be conclusive proof, before someone wants to explain that to me as well as if I was a 5 year-old. - gwnn

Great lead by Timo imo, but maybe that is unduly influenced by my style of doubling bids like 3D.

Tough to fault looking for 3N with 8 solid and 2-2 in the side suits imo Andy.
