Partner wants to defend. I see no reason to disagree.

Yeah four hearts is fine and now I would just pass. Had partner not doubled bidding would be fine, but as it is I have an ace and a king and not that great of an offensive hand for the five level so I'm happy to pass partners suggestion to defend.

If partner's double shows a strong desire to defend, then pass is clear.

In my partnerships, double would say "I want to raise", something like
Ax QJx xxx AKxxx.

For us, it's a "fit-double". Applies when they bid & raise beyond the level of responsive doubles.
You may say that hand should bid 5. Maybe, but not so good opposite a stiff club.
With a spade stack, opener makes a non-forcing pass. South would then make a takeout double.

I'll bid 4 and pull the double to 5.

Partner's most likely shape is 3-2-3-5. I have to assume that partner's double shows extras and since I have a full opener, we should have a reasonable shot at 5. (28 ZP/7 losers LTC/13 half-losers MLTC). Since I'm forecasting 19 trumps on the deal that means I'm assuming 4*-2 (+300) vs. 5C+5 (+400).
