1.

2.

3.

4.

The bidding is wrong but I didn't feel like changing it. LHO opened 1 - 2 - 2 - 2N - 3N

1. You lead the beer, J, 2 from pard, x
2. Declarer leads the 5, 2 (udca), J, ? (do you win - if so, then what?)

1. 1
2. 3, but I open aggressively in 1/2nd
3. 3N
4. I win and play another diamond.
Yay for the "Ignored Users" feature!

1. 1 always.
2. 3, with any less (e.g. no 10) I would bid 3.
3. 3NT
4. It looks like declarer needs a club for his ninth trick so must have running spades and mediocre hearts, e.g. Qxx Kxxxx Ax QJx. So win A and continue diamonds.

Would declarer bid 2NT over 2, holding Q96 or better and Ax in ?
Possibly but most would agree at this point.

Anyway I do not see how this will beat the contract. After a continuation declarer will run . Even if declarer continues with another , you will have to discard very well not to give him a heart at the end.
Also for this defense to work partner would need at least AQTx in , because otherwise declarer would have played on for his ninth trick.

I think declarer is more likely to hold something like x,KT97x,Ax,QJTxx.
The fact that declarer did not play on seems to indicate that he has a real suit and needs a source of tricks.

Duck the , win the next one and switch to . This plays havoc to declarer's communication

Partner won't have xxx of diamonds since we play UDCA.

On 3, I think partner will bid 3 over 3.

Hand 1 I overcalled and the opps ended up in 3N. Poor teammates reached 6 when the player with my hand passed.

Hand 2 - Pard held xx xxxx AKQx Qxx. Not the greatest game in the world but it rolls, and its a lot easier on a non spade lead which is what happened at both tables.

Hand 3 - I bid 3N and caught KJTxx Qxxx J8x T. Other table passed.

Hand 4. Declarer held Qx KQ9xx Axx J8x and is going for a swindle. So if you duck thats the 9th trick. If you win and continue diamonds, partner needs to hang onto his clubs. Perhaps he can work it out since a to the J is a strange play. Teammates didn't get to game.

1. Very easy 1.

2. 3, wtp?

3. 3NT and I don't see why this is a problem.

4. Win, diamond Q. Spade switch might win this if I let the club make.
