Perhaps this is obvious, sorry if it is, but... Do you bid anything here?

First of all, I assume that I am South, not East.

Second - No, I do not bid anything here. I pass. Bidding here is one of those things that could work, but more often than not will result in a large negative.

I could have bid 3 before. Now pass, of course. We got 2 aces.. if pard can contribute a trick, this is down.

I can not imagine bidding, you want to because of the shape but sadly this is just not what partner will expect a 3 level o/c to be. I suspect a player who tries 3H would then bid 4H when partner tries 3N. Bidding is flipping a coin in hope it lands on it's edge to collect the prize. If it gets smashed you now running to the 4 carder, lets have some sense here.

If bidding anything that would be double, 2 aces is 2 aces. I don't think opponents have great defence when they bid 5 without trying 3NT anyway, so partner pulling wouldn't be a disaster. Still I think I'd pass.

OK, when I posted this last night I forgot a few things.

We are really South, and the scoring is IMPs. Sorry if this is a really easy one though lol
