How do you enter this auction?
I believe that the USA currently hold only the World Championship For People Who Still Bid Like Your Auntie Gladys - dburn
dunno how to play 4 card majors - JLOGIC
True but I know Standard American and what better reason could I have for playing Precision? - Hideous Hog

When I have 7-5 (not 5 spades), I take preference myself.
5♣ at favourable.
Do not underestimate the power of the dark side. Or the ninth trumph.

2♣, but what do I know.

But opponents might not be competing and partner might be strong, burying the hearts might be a big issue if you have 3 aces to lose or alike.
Enough analysis to come to the conclusion that I have no clue of what to bid lol. I will try 2NT, wich lets me bid 5♣ over 4♠ later.

I'm curious if the 4♣ bidders are moving over 4♠.

I think any overcall that show defensive strenght is wrong because if opps reached 4S and partner double (a likely scenario) we are going to be forced to bid 5C wich might be a terrible decision.
If you bid michaels and opps reached 4S and partner X you have an easy pass and if he doesnt you have an easy 5C (you would bid 4Nt with equal lenght)
For instance, he doesn't like being used as a human shield when we're being shot at.
I happen to think it's a very noble way to meet one's maker, especially for a guy like him.
Bottom line is we never let that difference of opinion interfere with anything."

Any number of ♣ = 0; How is prd. supposed to make any inteligent decisions if you start by hiding the ♥ suit?

Presumably, 2N followed by more NT would be two suits of equal length.
So what do you do with longer hearts? Hearts followed by NT presumably.
Just wondering...

I think 2NT then bidding clubs just shows extra distribution - this hand in fact. To show strength one would need to cue-bid or double on the next round.

If we are bidding 2N and 4♣, then well, we have a 9-trick hand and are bidding a 10-trick contract, doesn't sound so far off does it? If we have to bid 5♣ over their 4♠, then partner will see the auction too and know that we may be saving.
