1. most europeans are used of relays after NT, so I´ll try 3 if its teh case, is him from somewhere else? 3NT will make it then, don´t liek to be raised to 4

2. 3, probably the best part score of both lines.

Hi all,

nice preempt, but what is even more interessting to me:
In Hand One, you have an absolute notrumpish shape opposite a strong NT from Pd. So for me, 3 and 3 are both wrong. I would prefer 3 NT.
Reasons:
1. 3 NT makes a spade lead much more likely then any other bid.
2. Surely no missunderstanding possible with your pd.
3. PD did not bid 1 Spade, why? Maybe he allways wants to play, maybe he thinks, that showing the strength and the shape was more important then showing spades? Maybe he judges his hand for much better in NT and had bid 1 Spade with hands, which fits better for NT? Maybe he just denied 4 Spades and 3 Hearts with his bid? A lot of reasons to trust him and finish the bidding.
4. With comfortable HCPs and two balanced hands, if often pays to play NT, not in the major.

I think, these reasons will outweight the reasons against 3 NT by far.

Kind Regards

Roland
