Scoring: IMP

1 (2) P (P)
X (P) ?

Usually they refer to passing a takeout double as taking the plus, but here 2 looks like a safe plus. Do you try to go for a higher plus by passing?

RHO is Justin if it matters to you.

Partner wants me to take out, I have no strong reason to leave in. BTW, I think 2 should be in the poll as well, as that is probably what I would want to bid. Partner with diamonds and hearts would have bid 2 rather than double.

V vs non..and passing is not putting them into game, but we get only 100 for setting them 1. I think my overall defensive prospects aren't good enough to expect to clobber 2.

If PD is min, they may make, perhaps overcaller is sitting over Opener's tenaces, or has a stiff and 6 or even 7 and a max and makes an OT.

I just don't see where passing is worth the risk here, and I have a decent 5 card suit to bid. I somewhat prefer 2 (hoping for a 5-3 fit) to 2 as I don't expect my PD's to hold 6 very often on this auction. Perhaps PD has lots of extras and my 2 bid gets us to game and while not, likely 600 out scores 300 (as they'd likely be down 2 then)

Sorry but I always feel the need to jump on it when people say this. Partner doesn't want us to do anything. He wants us to do what we think is right, and is just describing his hand as best he can to try and give us the chance.

2D

For me partner is not showing anything extra. I don't have a convincing double of 2C. I do have a reasonable bid available.

2H, pretty clear cut. No guarantee at all I have 3 tricks and who says partner has 3?

right sentiment, wrong red suit. 2. Why play in a suit that we suspect is a 5-2 fit instead of a suit that we might have a 5-3 or 5-4? If partner is some 4-6-2-1 hand, he'll correct to 2.

2D wtp. What ive noticed in those problem is that those who are reopening without extras values are often the first to pass for penalty.

??? Please explain why you prefer to play in a 5-2/6-2 & ruffing from the long trumps VS a 5/3 & 5/4 fit & ruffing from the short hand.

IMO _P = 10, 2 = 9, 2 = 6.
