Open 2, rebid 4.

Bridge is easy when you bid what you got.

LOL @ 2.

1, 4.

Open one heart and, given the rules of the game, watch what the others bid or call.

i think opening 2c on this is misguided.

Agree. I don't see how opening 2 and jumping to 4 will allow partner to judge when to bid on if we can bid this with xx in one suit and a void in another.

1 / 3 / 4 looks OK.

A bit too good for NAMYATS if we play that.

Before anyone laughs, I open this Benji in one of my partnerships (it is useful sometimes...) otherwise 1H then 3C as others have said already.

I thought 1 then 4 is obvious, but it is obvious a minority report.

Agree on 1-4. Why jump shift to clubs? You dont have enough HCP, and besides that, only 3 clubs.......

1 opening is clear, as rebid I like both 4 and 3 (unless playing Gazzilli ofcourse)

4C namyats.
Otherwise a direct 4H is my bid. Ill X a 4S by the opponent to show a 5H bid with some def values.
In a bidding contest or in a forum ill open 1H.

We play 1 then 2NT over 1 shows a heart single-suiter without three spades and forcing to at least 3. That fits ok here.

  • IMO 4(SAT) = 10, 4 = 9, 1 = 8.
    Game plan:
If opponents contest 4, IMO you can double to show extras.
  • If you open 1 then the suggested a 3 rebid seems reasonable.
