Are there any mailing lists or forums (other than here) where Juniors can connect with other juniors?

I'm a 19 year old Junior in the San Francisco area who doesn't know anyone at all under 21 who plays bridge and don't know where to find anyone who plays bridge. All of my partners are mid to late 20s or 50+ (I'm not eligible for the Seniors B) )

If anyone happens to read this who is also looking for an under 21 partner for the WBF Patino Cup or Damiani Cup, my AIM is upsetfuzzball and my BBO name is GregV. You can also drop me a line at greggvance@hotmail.com.

Regards,
Greg

Wow, you are SF area, it's your lucky day!

There are a bunch of kids who play together etc and I think they are organized by Ron Smith. They are all SF area and a fun bunch who can help your game a lot and make your bridge experience more fun. Unfortunately I think they're all in the 21-26 range.

I don't know of any mailing list but there are a lot of guys who know each other and connect on BBO and see each other occasionally at tournaments. I can help you get in touch with most of the juniors on BBO. I'll shoot you an IM, good luck!

Yeah, I play with that group. I'm in the bayareajuniors mailing list that Erik set up, but most of the people there have established partnerships and are college grads.

I did send off an email to Ron to see if he knew of anyone looking for an under 21 partner.

I did put a "find a partner" section in the Forums on the USBF website, but I don't think anyone is using that, so Justin's suggestion is much better. Send Ron Smith a message when you're on BBO and he is too (RonSmithSF I think) - he organizes both online and ftf bridge among many of the younger SF area players and would certainly be the best contact to find a young partner in the Bay Area. If that doesn't work, send me an email (president"at"usbf.org will get me without splattering my email address around the web any more than it already has been) and I'm sure I can put you in touch with someone who can help. Of course, if you're going to Detroit, come to the Junior Reception and we'll introduce you to people there. I hope we'll see you at the Las Vegas Trials.
Jan Martel, who should probably state that she is not speaking on behalf of the USBF, the ACBL, the WBF Systems Committee, or any member of any Systems Committee or Laws Commission.
