At first I thought it went clockwise end of story, but after examining it for about 15 minutes I have a theory. The girl only rotates 180 degrees and then this is replayed with her going the reverse direction. Its the shadow at the bottom which makes it appear she swivels the full 360. Now that I see the shadow at the bottom is just a distraction I can make her go whichever way I want even so that she goes back and forth with her back to me the whole time. For those who want to see it go counter clockwise the trick as already mentioned by Finally is to scroll down the page so that you can only see say one foot and the shadow, then imagine her going ccw and you'll see it.

If you want to test your theory, you can look at each individual frame of a GIF file, which this is, by opening it with some picture editor that allows you to view layers, such as Adobe Photoshop or Paint.net (free software).
I constantly try and "Esc-wq!" to finish and post webforum replies.

now when i look only at the shadow of her foot she will only turn 180 in one direction and reverse... when i look at the full figure (as it were) she turns 360

For what it's worth, I think the bottom foot clearly gives away that the direction is clockwise.

I saw only clockwise at first, but gwnn's link help to see her turn the other way.
Clockwise is still pretty dominant for me.

Btw: she spins must faster in Firefox then in Explorer, isn't that funny?

not sure what it means when you can easilly see her change direction and either not rotate at all but reverse at 180 degrees, or rotate for a few spins and then reverse and spin in opposite direction for a few before going back to the half rotations...haven't counted to see if there is a predictable pattern to this, for me, but it is very graceful

For me I can basically decide which way she spins. At first she went clockwise, the phone rang I answered it looked back and she was going the other way. Now I can flip between CW and ACW at will.

When i was in Bangkok, the (really) naked dancing girls rotated in a clock-wise direction @ first.

With every pop of the ping-pong ball there was an uncanny change in direction....

Both. At first anti-clockwise but when Ive focus on the shadow she did go clockwise. To make switch watch the screen from a far distance and aproach. This is the way to make her switch.

Also scroll the image until you only see the legs and no upper body this is guaranted to make her switch side.

The anti-clock wise shadow is like a light near the floor. The clockwise shadow is with a normal light from above.
