I see it as clockwise no matter which part of my visual field I put her in.

Not surprisingly, I come out as right-brain dominated in those tests all the time.

My roommate says she changes direction all the time. She's not a bridge player, though.

Ditto

I'm trying to force myself to see it move counter clockwise with no luck

Initially counter-clockwise,..... to get her to reverse direction, look to the side of the image and allow her to go out of focus.....she will switch directions.

Counter-clockwise, and maddeningly resistant to changing directions...

My experience when I first saw it a couple of months ago was that I could not get it to appear CCW, no matter what manipulation I did of my eyes (unfocusing, closing one or the other, etc etc). I showed it to someone else to whom I had to swear it had never changed directions before she believed me. She was convinced that it had actually changed directions.

I did manage to get it to appear CCW by covering up the top half of the picture with another window. Then with some focusing it seemed to spin CCW, but it would quickly switch back.

I never managed to see the entire picture appear CCW.
I constantly try and "Esc-wq!" to finish and post webforum replies.

Checked again (should have before I posted) and still can't get it to appear CCW without my posted manipulation.

Anticlockwise the rest. :)
But long-term viewing will make you go blind! :P

I was expecting something like:

CCW_: 6
Both_: 4

I don't get it. How can you make sense of the shadow when you see her turning clockwise?

(And how many of the respondents in this poll mixed up clockwise and anti-clockwise?)

((And how many fell for the optical illusion suggesting that this is a naked dancing girl??)) :P

Ack. initially I saw anti-clockwise (and voted thus), but with a slight tilt of my head was easily able to see her going clockwise.

But no matter how I try I can't get her to change back!

I'm sure I can see nipple. So apparently I'm logical until such time as I observe a prominent mammary protuberance at which point I become appreciative and fantasy-based. No great surprises there ;)

good one. i tried to see it clockwise and couldn't. her leg in the air is always moving from 6 towards 3 which is anticlockwise.
It's not what you are, it's how you say it!

I can see her rotating in both directions and alternating back and forth.

I am not sure which direction is clockwise - do we assume we are lying on the floor or somehow attached to ceiling?

I was wondering also. I assumed we were attached to the ceiling.
