Get Together - The Youngbloods

Love is but a song to sing
Fear's the way we die
You can make the mountains ring
Or make the angels cry
Though the bird is on the wing
And you may not know why
Come on people now
Smile on your brother
Everybody get together
Try to love one another
Right now
Some may come and some may go
We shall surely pass
When the one that left us here
Returns for us at last
We are but a moment's sunlight
Fading in the grass
Come on people now
Smile on your brother
Everybody get together
Try to love one another
Right now
Come on people now
Smile on your brother
Everybody get together
Try to love one another
Right now
Come on people now
Smile on your brother
Everybody get together
Try to love one another
Right now
If you hear the song I sing
You will understand (listen!)
You hold the key to love and fear
All in your trembling hand
Just one key unlocks them both
It's there at you command
Come on people now
Smile on your brother
Everybody get together
Try to love one another
Right now
Come on people now
Smile on your brother
Everybody get together
Try to love one another
Right now
Come on people now
Smile on your brother
Everybody get together
Try to love one another
Right now

Double plus plus, a great song. Probably not for the grandkids when they come over.

If they understand the double entendres, it's too late to protect them.

My favorite double entendres are those little chicken livers wrapped in bacon. :P;)

The only Aaron Copeland composition that I ever really cared for. Fanfare For The Common Man.

Phenomenal and generous concert by the Dire Straits in Nimes, France. Even if it's 1992 it's unbelievable what Mark Knopfler can do and it's beautiful both to see and to hear with high musical quality and exceptional fusion of the whole group: https://youtu.be/RRXN-kA3qDc

Having just seen "Bohemian Rhapsody" yesterday, my music mood is for anything by Queen. Great movie. And as a friend of mine said, "hard to believe that concert (Live Aid) was 34 years ago".

Something hot for the winter evening, my by far favorite take from Woodstock. I don't want to know what these guys smoked before this gig, but anyway they are amazing in their rythm feeling.
