Just gotta say I really miss the vugraphs bbo did of the NABC. They were the best and now there are none? Any way to bring them back?

Vugraph

The ACBL is most concerned about the security of providing Vugraph and the stability of the Vugraph platform itself.
I think BBO is seen as the best viewing platform available currently, not least as we are all used to it: but the ACBL Vugraph team seems to have lost some confidence in the stability of BBO for delayed vugraph which they use to address the security problems of Vugraph. This has meant that they are trying out other platforms where delayed vugraph is easier to introduce but these seem to have their own issues. Unsurprising since delayed vugraph has many problems as a concept.
I expect the ACBL will continue to try other platforms and will eventually find a compromise that they can live with: this could easily be BBO.

I agree "completely" with paulg, but I'd phrase it more as "other platforms that had in their initial design 'support for delayed vugraph'(*), but also have issues that BBO realized were problems and fixed years ago."
Frankly, my issue with delayed vugraph is that entry mistakes (a missing or extra pass, for example) are harder to fix, because the operator is no longer on the hand. Obviously not a problem with "bid/play with tablets" where there is no operator, but that has its own issues. Also, less of a problem with "vugraph delayed until everyone is finished the previous hand", unless you're at the table 3 boards behind. But security *is* an issue.
(*) among a number of other things. Some I strongly approve of. Some I find to be "a regression to familiarity", but for those who need familiarity, cool, you do you.

I'm doubt many platforms had support for 'delayed' vugraph in their initial design and many probably did not have a real design for vugraph, but having a more modern software base meant that they were able to extend their platforms a lot easier than BBO.
