Can someone explain the steps to automate some of my alerts on BBO? Also, am I correct in assuming that on the 8 board tournaments, while you might give an alert, the opponents won't see them. In the 1000's of games I've played on the 8 board tournaments, I have never seen one)

apparently automated alerts is not possible per email i have with bbo

That is what they concluded when they tried to implement it themselves
But luckily for BBO, they have a vibrant ecosystem which generates working solutions like BBOalert.
One would expect them to endorse it and collaborate to improve/incorporate.
