Welcome, King of Uruk
I see this is your first post here, would you like to describe yourself and comment on your interests?
Hi,
it made me feel honored that you noticed my little unimportant post and first of all, sorry for the late response but I've been so busy during the last two weeks because several units of new crew members had arrived to replace staff bound to go home and with all these carriers out there we had to keep the fighter planes at bay so they wouldn't interfere with the submergers and then I, as commander of our station here in the Bahamas, had to give the newbies the usual bla-bla, show them around etc. etc.
In case you read my profile, I lied a little bit about my whereabouts 'cause I thought it better not to let
everyone know - I'm actually from the Alnitak Solar System which is also part of the Orion constellation (part of the belt, that is).
My primary interest is, naturally, to serve my home planet as captain of a major spacecraft and, ever since I was appointed commander of this service station, to do my best in fulfilling my duties in the underwater mountain.
But I enjoy a little game of Bridge every now and then playing only with the robots as I myself am part biological being and part robot (i.e. computer).
Yes, I've been here before around 2600 B.C. when we initiated the Gilgamesh Epos. I wasn't Gilgamesh; he was a real human king but I was head of the team who orchestrated the whole thing having one of our human behavior specialists play the part of Enkidu who first fought with and then befriended the King to go through numerous adventures with him. Unfortunately, "Enkidu" died by accident while trying to retrieve a precious backgammon board the King had lost on top of a volcanic mountain... but, after all, he was a volunteer and well aware of the risks. In the end, the mission "Give Humans Something to Believe In" was a success for the fact that all major religions of the Western Hemisphere (Judaism, Christianity, Islam) are based on our plot and I was promoted Captain.
So, I'm here again now on another special mission but this is top secret
Sry but my 1st Lieutenant urges me to accompany him to the test run of the new & improved electron accelerator for the short-distance WARP propulsion.
Hope to talk to you again soon.
yours truly
Capt. Gilg
P.S. how do you like my English brain module?
