Are you sure it is technically a dummy reversal?
I always associated that with pulling trumps from the shorter side and ruffing in the longer side, but perhaps there is more (or even less) to it than that.

Ah yeah, I guess since both are equal length to begin with, it may not technically qualify. But it's the same concept; a N/B will see their own strong trumps as the "long" side, and not easily recognise that instead of ruffing your spade losers, you could flip things upside down, ruffing in hand three times and drawing the last trump with the queen.

I was finding it easier to think of disposing of North's losers
Plenty of entries including a high ruff
And clearly you want to be overuffing any problems in South
I may even have too many tricks but as always am too tired (or too many beers) to think clearly
You would be unlucky not to have 2 rounds of clubs and diamond

I imagined it was the same line for 4 diamonds in East too, just confused by his reference to "last trump" when he has mentioned no play of trump.

I wrote last trump twice actually, 1s time form hand (the K) then we need to try to go back to dummy and pull last trump with Q. A bit ambiguous though.

And you are also right that it is not really a dummy reversal, which is the term used when dummy has shorter trumps. It is just taking dummy as your base and ruff its losers instead of taking your own hand as a base. When playing 44 it would not occur to me to call it a reversal so thanks for pointing that out.

Ah ok.
Thanks to you for raising an interesting question as like most people I never sat down to analyse what really defines a dummy reversal: it seems to be a bit like pornography, I know when I see it :)
It's not about the dummy, as that may well be the longer trump suit in modern artificial bidding (after a Multi or Gambling opening, a Jacoby Transfer response, a Michaels interference or whatever).
And it's not essential that the shorter trump side has better trumps, or two top trumps as often asserted.
I think it is essential that there is a shorter trump side.
Maybe "we can usefully lead a trump when what was the longer side has no trumps left" ?
