What is this double? Would it have a different meaning if opener's suit was a minor?

I think something like 13(54) or 1444 with a decent hand. Maybe x Kxx Kxxxx AKQx or x xxxx AKQx AQJx. These are awkward for the first round of bidding.

Takeout for the minors, but more on hcp than shape given that 2N was available over 1H. Roughly opening values. Responder, bidding 1S, is unlimited and didn’t promise an unbalanced hand so the double of 1N must deliver values, lest there be a bloodbath (still possible).

Had the opening been 1m then the double could be penalty….generally showing a good hand, long and strong n opener’s minor but I’m pretty sure that’s so old fashioned that it’s not generally played that way…so it’s the same sort of hand as the first one….with one caveat. Doubler may well be 1444, and advancer can and sometimes should bid opener’s minor ‘to play. Some years ago, in a team trials playoff we reached 2D after 1D P 1S P 1N x when I held a weakish 5=2=4=2…partner had an opening hand, 1444.
