GIB appears to have acquired some bad habits from Argine.
I'm guessing this is the reason why my rebid here is 2 with 5332?

GIB doesn't have any bids to investigate slam scientifically over 3NT. So the only way to end up at slam is to bid it immediately.

I calculate 6 is makeable (double dummy, of course) opposite 80% of all the possible hands you might hold for 3NT. So this seems OK to me.

Useful to know. Hence my second point, to avoid the 20% of fails, and assuming I'm playing 'sensible' GIB 2/1, is 2 the correct rebid here?
And for that matter how about IRL?

2 is non-forcing, showing 6 spades and a weak hand. You definitely don't want to do that! With standard methods, 3NT seems normal.

Edit - actually, my double dummy sim was based on the definition of 3NT shown, but that definition seems to be problematic, since the majority of such hands would have opened 2NT.. so GIB is at fault here, as per usual.

Non-GIB bidding going via 2 forcing I end up in 6 so not a bad call that makes on a poor lead or K dropping/finessed. 3NT is a reasonable rebid for me.

6-1 was the modal result by far.
The 'winning' auction seemed to be 1-1NT-2(transfer)-2-4
I'm guessing that any upgraders or downgraders might have reached 4 via a Texas transfer, but this came from the DL1 so it's hard to be sure.

Close - I was wrong - here's the link 1S-1NT-2NT-3D!-3H-4H
6 people in this contract - 86.4%
13 in 6H(N or S) - 34.21%
and oddly 1 in 5H-1 for 34.21%

2NT is the correct bid instead of 2NT
Gib is full of it-any hand that fits Gibs definition of 3N would pretty well have opened 2NT
in 2/1 3NT is solid spades I believe but what do I know?!
