Of course I would ! :o

Doubling and showing a major after is more suit oriented and probably unbalanced.

If I have a balanced hand I want to show it immediately even with a 5 card major.

Agree with Helene that puppet should not be on after a 2NT overcall, whatever kind. Stayman and transfers should.
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.
