On Bridgewinners there is a post with to very strange deals with themes I haven't seen before.

https://bridgewinner...make-any-sense/

On the first GIB might have changed his mind and thinking 3N would go less down that 4 (And the 3 is probably a book bid)

And on the second I think it is 4th suit forcing, that is the problem, where priority to show support should be higher than showing a rebiddable suit

Both are age-old bugs. So a hard no to the subject line.

BBO is definitely thinking of updating GIB. The only problem is that after a few minutes of thinking, they get a headache and start working on something that actually generates more revenue.

I wonder what happened to that other robot program that they acquired with the merger with Funbridge? Has anybody heard if Angine is better, worse, or about the same as GIB?

I think Argine is better, at least it is maintained :-)

I played a few times with Argine and found it better than GIB at bidding: also it could be configured to some extent although it still seemed to default to SEF unexpectedly.

52E also bought out Bridge Baron, who were hardly significant competition but have a robot that is top class in play... yet even that was too difficult to think about, apparently.
