I tried to upload my profile picture but nothing happens with no error messages. I reduced the size down to 17 kb but still no luck.

Needs the support team's approval probably. Wait a bit and it should get approved.

I am pretty certain it file is not being uploaded so there there is nothing to approve. Seems like a bug to me

When did you try to upload? It's been 2 days since you logged into BBO.

I don't see a picture from you waiting to be approved.

What kind of graphic were you trying to upload? (jpg, png, etc?)

I have just realised I have two different BBO accounts. The username I use for BBO is nemojames

It is a jpg

I first tried with a file sized 740 kb and now have reduced it to 18kb but still no luck. At no time have I been shown any sign of it uploading or acknowledgment

The size limit is 300K. After selecting the file, you should see a message like this:

You're not seeing this?

I just tested it with the latest Firefox on both Mac and Windows, and it worked fine.

I can confirm that uploading a photo does not work on Firefox 26.0 on Windows 7 but works with IE 10...

Works fine on Chrome once file size is reduced to below 300kB.
It would help if it came back with an error message when you try to upload a larger file

I didn't know that was a potential source of the infection. Good of you to look out for us.

There's a few reasons why we disabled images since the surge in usage due to the virus:

1. Uploading and downloading them puts extra load on the database servers.
2. We have our customer support staff review new images before allowing them to be used, and CS can't even keep up with the real support calls.
