I know that this information exists in various places, but I've been unsuccessful in finding complete information. Much of what I have found is contradictory and several years old. I only found it by searching google, not by searching the BBO website and forums. So. I'm asking here for current and complete information that (hopefully) will be useful to others as well.
My partner and I want to analyze / rebid / and perhaps play the hands from the CommonGame events we play at our local bridge club.
Common Game makes the hands available in html, pbn, and pdf format. I think we need to use the pbn file format.
Can we import these files into BBO? If so, in what areas, and then how do we rebid / play / analyze them?
As far as I can tell, we have to convert the pbn files to lin files. If that is correct, can you recommend software that will convert the pbn files to lin for Windows 8?
Thank you for your time and consideration answering these questions.

I would recommend downloading bridgecomposer - http://bridgecomposer.com/
You can do this for free on a trial basis and then you can voluntarily pay the writer his money if you like the program.
Alternatively, you can just open a pbn file using the bbo handviewer. This will automatically create a lin file. http://www.bridgebas...idge_movie.html
I am not sure if it works how you need it to - I have the old version on my computer and that works fine, but that is no longer available if you are a recent member. Good luck.

I think this answers your question.....
There is a video here which shows how you can convert the files from pbn to lin.
https://www.stellar-...in-file-format/
There are also some free lin files available here:

Hope that helps...
