But I think the BBO developers deserve acknowledgement for coming up with a smart compromise and (as far as I can tell) a solid implementation. It seems to have made everything much faster, and resolved the issue of being unable to log in at busy times.
We get a good service here, most of which is free, and it's been a lifeline for the bridge community in recent months. Some of us at least are grateful for it
No doubt there are future improvements still to be made. But having managed busy webservers, I know what it's like when the machine is collapsing under the strain of too many people doing too many things - everything else has to go on hold until you fix the emergency.
