No.

Why on earth do I think we have a heart trick?

Now, I can see how a heart lead might be the only way to beat a grand...

But holding 6S x'd to 12 tricks is worse than letting them make the overtrick:)

(I'm not serious about my example, but I am serious about wondering what the heck I was thinking when I doubled, if I did)

Three reasons to not x

1. see mikeh about being sure of a heart trick
2. Why do I think setting up a heart trick at 6s will set them
3. am I really 100% sure partner even has a heart to lead?

4. I'd like to play with PD next time.
5. I might like to play with either opp at some time.
6. I don't want to see this posted as an ATB.

I assure Neilkaz that this is not an ATB -- I claimed the blame.
Full deal on the left.
6X made easily -- an overtrick was possible -- We lost 20 X-imps.
At the remaining 9 tables, nobody bid the slam.
