We miss our small slam in or 6 to defend a spade partial.

Of course I upgraded my 1nt (1second choice), 2Cappelletti spades & minor, 2nt Lebensol forces 3

It is very common for Gib to make this type of underbid.
Gib has 7 card suit 2 aces and a void, what kind of 1NT does gib need to be close to slam?
Not much Gib undervalues long suits.
Have seen worse with 8 cards suits!
Sarcasm is a state of mind

basic or advanced bot?

I feel like this is more likely with basic bot, it probably has bad definitions for what 4c/5c should now mean, and doesn't have sims turned on that should tell it that the extreme shape makes bidding on a good gamble even though it probably doesn't meet the supposed point requirement for those bids.

My old PC GIB gets itself to 5c.

How do I tell if it is a basic or advanced bot? I was playing Bridge 4 (set of 4 deals, leaderboard).

In general, anything free uses the basic bots. Anything on a pay per tournament basis is an advanced bot. If you are renting bots, you rent either a basic or an advanced bot.

Not just an underbid but a misbid: no trace of a stopper in and no attempt to find fit in or .

It's arguably an underbid, but not a misbid. Original poster doesn't have the annotations; 2nt is lebensohl, it is attempting to play a club partial. It doesn't show a stopper in spades (if not followed by 3nt/3s) and forces to 3c.

It likes 3c directly, forcing, bypassing leb. Even if I force leb it will try 5c next time around.

2nt lebonsohl is a transfer to clubs but says nothing about the club suit. The bot could have long or a variety of other hands.
