Playing Standard 2/1 is there a method to show both minors weak?

I suppose responder might start with pass, hope the opp keep the bidding open and you might be able to show both later but in general, no.

In your example you might consider this a weak one suited hand in d and forget about clubs.

I too like 3 more than 2. Partner will likely settle there without substantial extras.

I do like passing here - it's hard to imagine my honours pulling any kind of weight, and P's rebid is almost certainly going to be 2 or 2 - but I fully expect to be told I'm hopelessly timid.
