Bidding proceeds as indicated.

You, as responder, have 3 possible routes from here.

1) Set diamonds as trumps and investigate 6D
2) Look for 3NT and force to 5D
3) Look for 3NT and invite to 5D (offering the option of stopping in 4D if 3NT is unplayable).

How do you keep all 3 options in play, and what different routes do you take?

(1) Bid 4.

(2) & (3) I don't think you can do both at the same time. Most people would, I assume, concentrate on case (2). Also, I think most people would take 2 to be already game forcing.

If something, you could define two cues: 2 and 2, for inv/GF hands respectively. Personally, I would prefer to keep 2M bids as NATURAL (good 5-card or 6 card suit), because people overcall for the majors on such pieces of junk that I wouldn't want to miss out on my major fit. Especially when LHO has Jxxx to be deep finessed :)
