Anyone have any good methods for showing various ranges? We currently play 7+ one level overcalls with a cue showing a limit raise plus. Would some sort of transfer responses help?

Transfer advances are a good idea but not particularly helpful with respect to NT advances. The traditional scheme is something along the lines of 1NT = 9-12; 2NT = 13-14/15; and 3NT = 15/16+. Am not sure what you want here that would qualify as expert-level.

Transfer advances are probably the best advance scheme available, especially after preempts. But note they skip the NT bids, which indeed keep the ranges zelandakh indicated.
