I was just surprised that North bid, and wanted others to see that this is within the range of possible hands. But explaining 5♦ as 26-27 total points seems kind of silly...

It is perhaps significant that the explanation of 2D doesnt say 3- spades 3- hearts.

How good can the 4-card major be before GIB will pass up 2D?
