Opening side plays support double. Does the last double call for a lead or not?

Assuming Phil has it correct, what about a trump lead?

Only in forums am I required to make an opening without seeing my hand. Partner doubled three times. He thinks 3 will fail. Show me my hand. Maybe I'll do something intelligent.

Of course it calls for a lead. If I don't lead, the hand will never be played.

:)

The double of 3 says that 3 is not making. It is not lead directional.

This is not a lightner double. Lead what you think is right.

Partner has asked for a lead, he doubled 3!

I have the specific agreements that double of 3 would ask for a non heart lead, but barring specific agreements, its clear to lead the suit partner asked us to lead, maybe with the AJxx I would think it twice though
