Some of you knew him very well, some of you didn't. He was an interesting man with a lot of kibitzers at his table.

He passed away recently from a heart attack.

His daughter and son logged in with his account and tried to announce to the lobby.

Reast in peace Gerard.

"Well to be perfectly honest, in my humble opinion, of course without offending anyone who thinks differently from my point of view, but also by looking into this matter in a different perspective and without being condemning of one's view's and by trying to make it objectified, and by considering each and every one's valid opinion, I honestly believe that I completely forgot what I was going to say."

Sorry to hear about this...

He was a character and I suspect that he'll be missed.

I spent many a Saturday night in 1998 with a glass of wine on OKB kibbing Gee along with hundreds of others. The kibchat ranged from cruel to complimentary, but it was always fun (and funny).

Most of it was good spirited, but there were a few that took the joke too far.

"Gerard" primed the pump on OKB; and I know for a fact he enjoyed the whole thing. He was well aware that kibbing his table had become a national passtime

The Pic he posted there, and on BBO was really his pic, not the mad scientist from Back to the Future. Gerry was also a character IRL in Southern California dating back to the late 60's. He had not changed a bit (except for the wheelchair) when we ran into each other in Vegas, last year.

I will miss him.

To die of a heart attack is sadly too common, but in Gerard's case he died of a broken heart as well.
I hope where ever he is, he's found peace at last.
Rest in peace Gerard. Z"L.
Sincerely
Bonnie (BHNN)
