Pretty odd hand. Obviously we missed a slam. Would be curious as to how people get there.

Did North just really bid 5? An underbid is not a good name for that.

I think North should bid 5 and if South then bids 6 they may get to the grand. But I bet it'd go down on a spade lead... So hopefully 5-6-6 would finish the bidding.

I like this auction. North cannot ascertain that there is no club loser, so reaching 6 seems best from his perspective.
