I have 0 experience playing vs weak 2 in diamonds. Is 3C forcing and showing strong hand or it might be fooling around ?

Why can't it be both?
... that would still not be conclusive proof, before someone wants to explain that to me as well as if I was a 5 year-old. - gwnn

It cant be, 3 bidder is Jimmy Cayne. ;)

I wouldn't butt-in. Absolutely no way to know if Jimmy is fooling around and if he's not, it's gonna be a bloodbath.

Thx for the votes, I didn´t trust 3 much, althou I don´t have much experience against JEC.

I doubled and partner had the perfect hand for it:

K9xxxx
Kxx
Jx
xx

4 made comfortably thanks to the J. JEC had AKJxx and maybe a heart honnor.

At the other table 2 opening was not avaible and after a weak 2 opening game was easilly reached.

EDIT: partner had 6 spades not 7

Is it normal to need 14 cards to take 10 tricks? :)
