BeBook and Sony both quite good. Prefer BeBook as it has a higher contrast. Of course it is cool that with Sony you can make notes, which other brands don't offer unless you go for a more expensive one. I didn't find that feature essential but that's just me.

Very happy with my Kindle....buy it.

The best part is buying new books that cost 25 bucks for 10-14 bucks.

We have the Kindle Dx and the smaller Kindle. They are both great - I prefer the larger DX. The e-ink is extremely easy on the eyes and the Kindle has six font sizes, most of which I use for various purposes. I also like being able to have either portrait or landscape reading. Amazon makes it very easy with their free wireless, and you can also download other e-books, pdf, etc. Nothing has disappointed me yet.

On the other hand, I have been given an iPad for my birthday, which of course, has not been shipped yet, so I am waiting to see what that is like. I don't know which model it is.

I bought a Sony Reader for my wife and we both liked it and read numerous books on it.

She bought me an Amazon Kindle and the screen is WAY better. I dare say that its is in a different league in terms of readability. If you were my friend or brother I couldn't recommend the Sony Reader less. Buy a kindle or another eink reader without a touch screen.
