Scoring: MP

1H-----------(P)-----------1NT-----------(2S)
3C (good)---(P)-----------???

finish the auction.

If you reach 5D and get a S lead how do you play the hand.
From Psych "I mean, Gus and I never see eye-to-eye on work stuff.

Is 5 actually better than 5 ?

5 looks good unless W is 6142 or similar.

Did 3 show 5 initially ?

I suspect the auction would finish

... 3
4-5
P or 5

...3 4 5

If I had reached 5 Diamond, I had played 3 rounds of heart pitching a club if rho follows.
Kind Regards

I would get to 3, unless the opponents help me.

If I would play the hand in 5 on a spade lead I would ruff, play AKx and discard a spade. How am I doing so far?

lol wtf how is south not the most auto pass of 3C ever? I think north could double 2S rather than bid 3C pretty reasonably even playing good/bad

Though I basically agree with the "Quit bidding" part of Justin's post, I think that at MPs, a false preference to 3 is more or less automatic. (It is not encouraging in any way, since it basically denies a fit.)

Lol I thought this was so obvious but I didn't post since I thought I must be insane. Glad to see I'm not. South has an auto pass of 3.
Please let me know about any questions or interest or bug reports about GIB.

Can't insane people still make a right decision?

I would pass 3C but I think 3H is a fair gamble at MP. They bid 3D wich IMO make no sense at all. I assume they play it forcing but how could that be forcing ? At 5D playing 3 round of H is better than ducking or playing on clubs. H were 5-1 and clubs 3-2. So they make 5D. At least 5C was making.
