I open 2NT and the bidding goes (uninterrupted)
3C
3S
4D
?

I have no idea what the bot is doing here. I click on the bid and it says something to the effect of a 4+ diamonds 7~ points.

I guess I'm supposed to bid 4NT, but I bid 4S

Bot bids 4NT Quantitative

I bid 6NT (what the hell; it's a robot race and I'm losing, and since I'm lost in the bidding why not), and we go down a couple of course. Bot has 7 points and distribution of:

2
4
6
1

Why doesn't the bot simply bid 3NT??? Why show a second suit with such a weak hand in that situation?

I know I suck, but...come on.

The bots LOVE to bypass 3NT, especially with long minors. I would try 5 I think... Getting to 5m instead of some ridiculous contract will often cut your losses. I admit that with any good partner I probably would bid 4 now, but bots have a way of bidding and you just have to follow it unfortunately.

At 3N the bot led the QH from:

AQT963

Of course we go down. Is there a site somewhere that tells about the bots carding? I have the page that discusses the bots bidding, but it's carding leaves me bewildered sometimes.

This is an unusual play, but there is a thread that might help a little with that:

The logic for and against leading the Queen is presented here.
