advancing over a multi

I must confess that I would have bid 3NT. I wouldn't be at all surprised if that were a gross underbid.

I would never bid 3 NT in my wildest dreams. I think that 7 NT is better then 3 NT, but I will go with KC or any other method which can find out about the quality of my partners 3 ♦ bid.
Multi has some pros and cons, one pro is that the opps have no cuebid avaiable.
So here all suit bids are natural for me. But PD shall have at least xx,xxx,KQJxxx,Kx and even that is not enough for 3 Diamond, so I go for slam when we possess enough KCs. (two).

4♣, strong raise.
If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion. :)

OK... suppose the your minors were reversed and the overcall had been 3♣, what would you bid then?
This cost my team a small fortune in IMPs.

Help

(2♦)-3♦-(P)-?
2♦ = multi (w/2 major, or strong bal)
What is your plan, (1) if you can bid 4NT natural and quantitative, and (2) if you can't (it would be key-card)?
Any pet methods here (e.g. cheapest minor = "cue")?
