Scoring: MP

We bid these cards to 7H rather than 7NT. Given the form of scoring, this was not that great a score.

Any recommended suggestions? Simple conventions only (since that was the format of the competition).

1h=2c
3c=3h
4c=4d(rkc for clubs)?
4nt(2noQ)=5h(kingH/grand try)?

1H - 2C
4C - 4NT (simple blackwood)
5D (one ace) - 5NT (kings)
6H (two) - 7NT

this is gambling on the queen of hearts, but playing simple systems I don't think you can easily ask for it. But given opener found a jump to 4C, he should have something extra somewhere.

responder can count 5 hearts (he hopes), 4 clubs, AK, AK. He can see there is no benefit to playing in hearts.

1H - 2C
3C - 3H
3S - 3NT
4C - 4NT
5C - 5D
5S - 5NT
7H - 7NT

Opener has shown K, Qxxxx A, Kxxx plus something extra. Without the extras north can count 13 tricks if suits split. With the extras 7NT must be good.
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

1 - 2NT
3 - 3NT
4 - 4
4 - 4NT
5 - 5
5 - 7NT

Normally I need 4 trumps for 2NT, but experience tells me that HHx is enough when 18+, and it simplifies lots of auctions.

3=natural with extras
3NT = serious
Cuebids, 1430, queen ask
Kind regards,
Harald
