I'd open 1♣

If it weren't for the 1♠ overcall, I'd have an easy 4♣ rebid. Unfortunately, I don't think that I've discussed the requirements for a 4m rebid in competitive auctions.

I'd probably start with a 2♠ cue bid.

I open 2♣. If I opened 1♣ I would rebid 4♣ (I think it should also be understood in competition) and bid 4♠ over 4♥.

2♣ opening. You have nine tricks in your own hand, solid 6 card suit and all 4 aces to boot, along with a 3 loser hand. Partner won't expect this good a hand to be opened 1♣.

Now that you've opened 1♣ and partner responded 1♥, you're really kinda stuck. KQxxx of hearts and you want to be in the grand. With just KQxxx of hearts and nothing else, partner won't be able to see any possible hand that opened 1♣ would want to be in a grand slam. Hmmm-I'm going to fake a splinter by 3♠ then RKCB for hearts - partner's almost certainly not going to cooperate with any slam try you make.

Basically I have 9 tricks in NT, so ...

If I open 1C, after an 1S overcall, I would go
with 2S, it will be long torture, partner needs
to get prepared, I intend to bid 4H after that,
just showes I am too weak to play the torture
game.

Pard has KQJT-6th of hearts. I just key carded and bid the grand. Bridge is easy sometimes.

I don't like the 4♣ - 4♥ - 4♠ approach. That sounds like I'm looking for a diamond control, and not good trump. Wouldn't I bid this way with A AKxx xx AKQTxx?

Sure partner has a last train 4♦ call over 4[cl, but this partner wouldn't know last train if it was coming at him through a tunnel, so I wasn't risking that either.

2[cl] gets you to seven in three bids.

2C - I borrowed 1-2 HCP for classic 23+. I liked six quick tricks there.

Seems like a really obvious keycard bid on your actual auction. Agree that bridge is generally a simple game that people try to complicate
